The C-Bus Infra-red Transmitter Unit is a C-Bus output unit for controlling 3rd party devices using infra-red. The unit is typically used for the control of audiovisual equipment eg. TVs, DVDs and VCRs.
Other infra-red capable devices such as motorised blinds and air-conditioning can also be controlled. The unit can store an on board library of approximately 200 infra-red commands for control of these 3rd party devices (dependant on infra-red code length and protocol type).
A specialised software tool is provided for programming the unit, called CIRCA (C-Bus Infra-red Commissioning Application). The CIRCA software allows the user to select infra-red codes to use, and to assign C-Bus events that trigger these infrared codes to be transmitted. It allows the same configuration to be uploaded to ultiple units without requiring the creation of a new program for each unit.
A high speed programming cable is available for this device to facilitate fast downloads to the unit. This is especially useful where there are installations consisting of a large number of infra-red units on a single Network. Alternatively, the infra-red codes can also be downloaded via the C-Bus Network. The C-Bus Infra-red Transmitter unit is available in the complete range of standard pattern plates and colours.
